The wine demonstrated pure and beautifully perfumed fruit. Firm, huge, rich flavours, and ripe, black fruits on the palate. Terrific purity and concentration without any obvious wood. The depth and complexity that one expects of top notch Chateauneuf.

What's it like? What isn't it like might be the easier question. If you fancy a trot around a green paddock then this is probably not your garden centre bag of grass-cutting Sauvignon; if you prefer a thunderous gallop through wild forest and murky thickets, then this turbid yeasty wine will lead you to all manner of unexpected places.

Full bodied with tropical fruits with a hint of fresh herbs.This wine must be the New Zealand’s most unique Sauvignon Blancs as it is bone dry, contrary to most Sauvignon Blanc from this country with 4-6 g/l residual sugar.

White, Sparkling  |  Champagne  (Champagne, France)
Mousse of small bubbles. Vine flowers, lime tree flowers, with a touch of honey on the nose. Beautiful attack on the palate. Full mouth, nicely vinous, that remains fruity, red currant, raspberry. Some biscuity notes are present with others of freshly baked bread.

Amisfield Pinot Noir the complexity, concentration and texture of great new world Pinot Noir with classic "dirty cherries".This is typical Central Otago Pinot with dark rich fruits, spicy aromas and undertones of smoke. Finished in a rich palate with fine silky tannins.

The mouth shows the freshness and typical varietal fruit characteristics, but with sophistication that is rarely found in yound kiwi Sauvignon Blancs. More minerality on the finish, it gives almost the sense of a Pouilly-Fumé. A great class Sauvignon Blanc, without denying its origin.

A most extraordinary wine, produced from 70 year old Gordo and Black Muscat vines along the Murray river. Lightly nad naturally effervescent and with well-balanced residual sugar. Crown cap closure. 5.5% alcohol. Fun all the way!
