Deep red and very Italian, but I have to say that despite it’s name it barely passed with me. The waiter described floral and orange peel, I tasted tannins, smoke and more tannins. I feel the taste got lost in the astringency. I’m no wuss, and I like a wine that will clear my palate, but I also like something where I can recognize the fruit. It could be my palate, my choice of meals or just a bad day for this bottle. I wouldn’t throw one away, but I wouldn’t buy another soon.
