* Les Meysonniers was produced from Syrah fruit on vines between 40 and 60 years old. As the grapes ripened, they were continually checked to find the perfect balance of sugar, acidity and fruit flavour. Fermentation took place in wooden vats, with the skins pushed down twice a day in order to extract colour, flavour and tannins. After fermentation, the wine was matured in oak casks for a year adding structure and cedar notes.
This is produced using Bio-Dynamic and organic methods.
* Review (jan.-feb./2008) Stephen Tanzer's IWC :
Ruby-red. Fresh raspberry and cherry aromas are energized by zesty minerals and dried flowers. Tightly wound red fruit flavors slowly sweeten with air, finishing with bitter cherry and dark berry qualities. This is already very inviting. ______________________
