Ce Montgo est un "vino de crianza" (littéralement "vin d'élevage"): il a vieilli 6 mois en fûts de chêne. Il provient de la région du Levant (à l'ouest d'Alicante). C'est la région d'origine du cépage Monastrell, nom espagnol du Mourvèdre. Le Monastrell est ici complété de Shiraz, ce qui explique la robe de couleur profonde. Au nez, on distingue des notes de fruits confits, d'épices (réglisse, clou de girofle), de kirsch et de bonbons fondants. La bouche est pleine et puissante, délicieusement charnue et agréablement fraîche. Les touches minérales se remarquent pendant la longue finale.
