Vinogusto.com is a new company that promotes wine and its pleasures. Our major challenge is to create an online wine guide with the latest web technologies and to offer this innovating experience to European users in a first stage and then to worldwide users.
 
We work with a 7 persons team and we are all under the age of 36 years. Our webstie www.vinogusto.com ios online since May 2007.
 
We wish to reinforce the core team of Vinogusto.com. The candidate will take in charge developments, tests and deployments, and analyses. By an “agile” methodology, we privilege effectiveness, autonomy, initiative and communication.
 
The candidate will report to the technical director.
 
Main activities:
· New developments for Vinogusto.com,
· Tech Support for sales and website operations,
· Deployment of the developments and integration of scripts provided by third parties,
· Writing of modular scripts, documented and effective,
· Performance follow-up of the developed code and the application,
· System & servers setup, configuration, maintenance, follow-up & administration
· Participation to the long-term thoughts about the application architecture development and technological choices (hard & software).
 
We are looking for a person
· who is taking responsibilities, positive and persevering,
· critic and creatively minded,
· concerned about quality,
· willing to learn,
· solution oriented (problem solving).
 
Profile:
· A degree in IT or a similar level of experience
· You are sensitive to ergonomic aspects of the web
· You master several of the following technologies:
     o LAMP web site development
     o MySQL: Effective queries writing, MySQL configuration, master-slave replication
     o PHP 5: Effective modular scripting, PHP configurationo SVN
     o XHTML and CSS
     o Javascript: Ajax, modal, form validation, Jquery, Prototype etc.
     o SEO techniques ·
 
Furthermore, the next abilities are welcome:
o Linux: Main commands, shell and/or Perl scripting, cron
o Windows XP and VISTA: Installation and configuration
o Apache: Installation and configuration, i.e. httpd.conf, rewrite, htaccess, logs, performance tuning
o Sysadmin abilities: LAN configuration, VoIP phones setup, printers setup etc.
