A propos du producteur

Ce petit domaine familial créé en 1946 par Jean Ferraton, étend son vignoble sur les appellations Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph ou encore les prestigieuses appellations Hermitage, Condrieu et Châteauneuf-du-Pape. En partenariat avec la Maison Chapoutier depuis 1998, il a été récemment racheté par cette dernière qui a su magnifier son potentiel exceptionnel. Géré de façon autonome, il n'en garde pas moins sa « marque de fabrique » pour donner aux vins produits une empreinte personnelle, dans la continuité de l'impulsion donnée à l'origine par la famille Ferraton.
Le domaine est cultivé en biodynamie (agréé ECOCERT) depuis près de dix ans, et bénéficie désormais d'une riche expérience dans cette voie, mais aussi et sourtout du soutien technique et du service contrôle qualité de la grande Maison Chapoutier.

About the winery

The land and the people who tend it share the same history. A history which grows from generation to generation. At the origin, one man, Jean Orëns Ferraton. Vigneron, and son of a vigneron. A region basked in sun, the Rhône Valley. It was 1946. The story begins.

Michel, his son, inherited the same passion. He decided to give a new dimension to his father’s vineyards. The first Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph Ferraton were brought into the world. A close friend of the Ferratons’, Michel Chapoutier brought his know-how. In 1998, the vineyards were converted to organic viticulture, then certified. Before embracing the culture of bio-dynamics. An audacious step. For innovative and strong perspectives.
