The family Dépiot has invested since the 18th century in the agricultural sciences, agronomy, the beaux arts et letters and development of Château Belon in the year 1856, notably with Chéri Dépiot-Bachan, award winning correspondent for the L'Académie Royale des Sciences, Belles-Lettres et Arts de Bordeaux, recognized with a medal for his work in Agronomy in 1831.
Laurent Depiot, proprietor continuing this scientific family heritage of more than 200 years with a vineyard friendly cultivation method that respects the environment by working the soil of the vineyard (plowing methods) and without pesticides.
The Château Belon red wine is an assembly of 4 grape varieties; Merlot, Cabernet-sauvignon, Cabernet-franc et Petit Verdot. This wine is a unique product, wine to hold to taste at ambient temperature. The Château Belon white wine is an assembly of 3 grape varieties; Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle. This wine is served chilled.
