Après avoir effectué des études de viticulture œnologie au lycée viticole de Beaune, je me suis installé sur le domaine familial avec mes parents et mon frère en 1983. A l’âge de la retraite de mes parents, nous avons repris chacun une partie du domaine.

J’ai constitué donc le domaine Thierry Mortet en 1992 sur 4 hectares. Dans le même temps, j’ai fait construire une nouvelle cuverie ainsi qu’une nouvelle cave pour cette installation. Actuellement, j’exploite 7 hectares, 10 appellations différentes avec 2 employés à temps pleins et une personne saisonnière. La production totale est de 35 000 bouteilles.

Le vignoble se répartit sur 4 communes : Gevrey-Chambertin (activité principale), Chambolle-Musigny à 4 km au sud, Couchey à 4 km au nord, et Daix à l’ouest de Dijon à 18 km au nord de Gevrey-Chambertin.

About the winery

After to have carry out study of viticulture at secondary school at Beaune, I settled on the family domain with my parents and brother in 1983. We went back a part of domain, when my parents took retirement.

I constituted the Thierry Mortet's domain in 1992 on 4 hectares. On the same time, I built a new fermenting room and a new wine cellar. Today, I cultivate 7 hectares, 10 differents appellations with 2 employers on full time and one person seasonal. The totale production composed of 35 000 bottles.

The vinyard slip on 4 villages: Gevrey-Chambertin (main activity), Chambolle-Musigny at 4 km at the south, Couchey at 4 km at the north, and Daix at the west of Dijon at 18 km at the north of Gevrey-Chambertin.
