De retour de la première guerre mondiale, Pierre Lagardère, l'arrière grand père de Gaël Lagardère achète un hectare de pomerol. C'est le départ d'une belle histoire familiale qui dure depuis quatre générations.
A force de travail, Yves Lagardère va étoffer la propriété en aquérant de nouveaux terrains sur Montagne et sur Pomerol. Son fils Jean-Claude, prend la succession en 1982 et n'a de cesse de développer l'ensemble des propriétés en aquérant lui aussi de nouveaux terrains (17 hectares à Montagne et 2 hectares 20 à Pomerol).
A son tour, son fils Gaël décide en 1999 de miser sur la qualité de la production et investit dans un équipement ultramoderne : Chai de vinification thermo-régulés, pressoir pneumatique, micro-bullage. Grâce à leur complémentarité, Jean-Claude et son fils Gaël mettent tout leur coeur au service de la vigne et du chai.
Toujours en quête d'excellence, ils s'adaptent continuellement pour que chaque millésime soit une réussite.

Presentation of the winery
Father and son winegrowers with a passion for wine handed down from generation to generation.
Returning home after WWI, Pierre Lagardère, Gaël Lagardère's great-grandfather, bought a hectare of land in Pomerol. Thus began the family tradition of winemaking that has continued over the last four generations.
A hard-working vitner, Yves Lagardère began extending his acreage through the acquisition of new vineyards in Montagne and Pomerol. His son, Jean-Claude, who took over in 1982, continued to grow the landholding thorough further vineyard purchases (17 hectares in Montagne and 2.2 hectares in Pomerol).
In 1999, Jean-Claude's son, Gaël set about improving the quality of wine production and has invested in ultra-modern equipment: temperature-controlled aging cellars, pneumatic wine press and micro-oxygenation. Working hand-in-hand, Jean-Claude and Gaël devote all their efforts to grape-growing and winemaking.
Striving for excellence, they are continually making improvements to ensure that every vintage is acclaimed.
