About the winery
In 1947 Fermín Ayuso Roig decided to found his own winery and chose Villarrobledo as the ideal site, as few places in the world have so many of the characteristics necessary for viticulture. The climate and the soil of this area make it an incomparable birthplace of great wines.
From the very beginning, Fermín Ayuso was determined to obtain healthy wines harvested with the utmost care and to classify them according to their variety and quality. Over the years, the most sophisticated techniques for producing and preserving wines have been incorporated without ever forgetting the tradition of craftsmanship and love implicit in its production and aging. Bottled wines began to be sold in 1961 in the provinces of Albacete and Jaén. The basement of one of the warehouses was fitted out as an underground cellar, with Bordeaux-type oak barrels, and was the first aging cellar in the region. A place where the silence, the dark, the constant temperature and humidity allow the wines to repose and mature into exquisite wines.
Sobre la bodega
En 1.947 Fermín Ayuso Roig decide fundar su propia bodega, elige Villarrobledo como emplazamiento ideal, pues, pocos lugares del mundo reúnen tantas cualidades para el cultivo de la vid. Su clima y su tierra convierten a esta zona en una inigualable cuna de grandes vinos.
Desde un principio, Fermín Ayuso se preocupó por obtener uvas sanas y recolectadas con el mayor cuidado y, a su vez, clasificarlas en función de su variedad y calidad. Hasta llegar al presente, se han ido incorporando las más depuradas técnicas de elaboración y conservación de los vinos, sin dejar la tradición artesana y el cariño que conlleva su elaboración y crianza. Así, en 1.961 empezó la venta de vinos embotellados en las provincias de Albacete y Jaén. El subsuelo de una de las naves se habilitó para cava subterranea, con barricas de roble, tipo bordelesas, siendo la primera nave de crianza de la región. Lugar, donde los vinos reposan en la oscuridad, en ausencia de ruidos a temperatura y humedad constantes, dando como resultado unos caldos exquisitos.
