Founded in 1973, Conn Creek is a small winery located on the scenic Silverado Trail in the heart of Napa Valley, best known for Bordeaux-styled wines including our flagship wine — Anthology.
Napa is a Native American word for plenty and there couldn't be a more appropriate word when it comes to the complexity and flavor of Conn Creek wines. This is achieved by sourcing from prized vineyards across Napa Valley's sub-appellations, from Carneros in the south to Calistoga in the north. Like a gourmet pantry of spices, each vineyard and appellation contributes distinctive characteristics. When blended together, they create wines with generous flavors and layers of depth and complexity
Surprisingly good given that I had seen some less than stellar reviews, guess that is why wine is personal. Very ripe and sunny, lots of blackberry, coffee and cassis flavors and some wood notes. Good nose, wonderful mouth feel and enough astringency at the end to make it finish well but not spoil the experience. Dark red and warm.
