Le domaine tient son nom du plus loin de ces origines ; Au XIII siècle, les moines de l’abbaye cistercienne de Franquevaux détectent un terroir d’exception sur une centaine d’hectares de magnifiques bois de pins et chênes. Ils défrichent cet espace pour y implanter de la vigne et des oliviers. Du souvenir de ses bois magnifiques naîtra le nom de « BEAUBOIS ».
Au début des années 20 Margueritte Mouret fait l’acquisition du Domaine. Viendront ensuite les premières mises en bouteilles et la commercialisation en France et à l’étranger. Le domaine a doublé sa superficie au cours des années passées, chaque génération apportant sa part de modernité et de développement.
Aujourd’hui, il est dirigé par François et Fanny, frère et sœur, quatrième génération de vignerons. Ils ont uni leurs compétences et mêlent leur histoire à celle de BeauBois.
François s’occupe avec soin des vignes, il est en perpétuelle recherche de nouvelles méthodes, afin d’améliorer la qualité de ses raisins qui sont la base de tout grand vin. Fanny élabore les vins en y apportant sa part de féminité et d’exigence.

Presentation of the winery
The origins of the estate’s name date back to the Middle Ages. In the thirteenth century the monks at the Cistercian abbey of Franquevaux noticed the exceptional quality of the soil in a hundred hectares of magnificent pine and oak forest. They set about clearing the forest in order to plant vines and olive trees. In memory of the forest the area was named "Beaubois" ("Beautiful Forest").
In the early nineteen twenties, Margueritte Mouret bought the estate. Soon afterwards the wines began to be bottled and sold in France and abroad. The estate has doubled in size over the years as each generation has made its own contribution to the vineyard’s growth and modernisation.
Today, the estate is run by brother and sister François and Fanny, the fourth generation of wine makers. They have combined their skills and opened a new chapter in BeauBois’ history.
François devotes himself to looking after the vines; he is always on the lookout for new techniques in order to improve the quality of the grapes that are the basis of any great wine.
Fanny makes the wines, maintaining high standards and introducing a certain feminine style.
