Un nez très vineux, cerise noir, réglisse, menthol, bcp d’alcool qui inhibe très vite mes narines; Une bouche avec bcp d'acidité, des tannins puissants, charpenté, bcp de fruits et de poivre, un coté balsamique (porto, kirshé) qui ressort.

Wonderful Douro, even for a 2006 - Jorge Moreira, the winemaker at Quinta de la Rosa, is doing a fantastic job with its own wines. This is the second wine of Poeira (Dust), called Pó de Poeira (can be translated by Dust Powder).
A hint a red fruit, deeply mineral, the wine is bridging the harshness and the elegance. It might lack some complexity but my impression is that this is the Douro terroir! I'm delighted!
Have it with pork loin in the oven and you'll have a great experience - now don't expect rivers of fruit juice and vanilla-chocolate balls.
