Even the dry wines show plenty of minerality and elegance, opening up somewhat earlier than the Uhlen wines in the vicinity. Röttgen wines also possess the most distinctive slate influence of all the Winningen vineyards. In the extremely small terraces, gray and blue slate mixes with distinct iron - rich slate.
