White wines : Buzet

Buzet is a charming village on the left bank of the river Baïse, in the heart of the South-west and the Garonne Valley. Nearby, the vast Landes forest pleasantly tempers the ocean climate. This climate and the local soils are both ideal for vines and have led to the planting and development of one of the oldest wine regions in France.

Initially VDQS, the Buzet wine region was awarded "Appellation Contrôlée" status in 1973.
The wine region is bordered by the Garonne on one side and the Landes forest on the other, and now extends over 2000 hectares in production.
