The Graves Supérieures AOC produces sweet white wines in its beautiful sandy gravel soil. Their moderate sugar levels make them perfect as apéritifs, or as a complement to delicate sauce dishes or desserts. These wines are the sweet variant of the Graves Appellation and are produced in the same growing region.
Sémillon and Sauvignon grapes are the most used varieties in Graves Supérieures. The wines have a lovely golden colour with amber reflections. In the mouth, they are dense and round and have subtle aromas. The sweetness is always balanced with the underlying acidity that leaves a fresh finish.
Graves Supérieures wines have notes of citrus and candied zest, as well as white peach or nectarine, and they are a good alternative to some common classic apéritifs. They also excel when served with a Tarte Tatin (carmelized apple pie) and many other desserts.
