Cadillac is located on hillsides close to the Garonne, this dessert wine AOC provides Sémillon grapes with exceptional conditions for over ripening. The vines are generally planted on south and southwest facing slopes of the area's clay-limestone hillsides.
Of the grape varieties cultivated there, Sémillon is most common. Sauvignon and Muscadelle are planted in smaller quantities.
The wines are elegant, aromatic, full and unctuous, but never heavy. In the Cadillac AOC wines, the "roast" aromas of that are typical of dessert wines combine with those of candied and white-fleshed fruit for a wonderful structure.
