Deep, dark, inky red with a huge nose of fruit and spice. There was a floral character underlying the beefy heart. The mouth feel was smooth, the tannins very refined and the finish was delightfully prolonged. We had this, after decanting, as a second (or third) bottle of the evening and after the meal was over. It lost nothing by it’s place in line. I may get to like Bordeaux yet.
