We produce about 5000 bottles a year of Barbera d’ Alba from our vineyards in Montelupo and Alba. In good vintage years, about 2500 bottles are reserved for 12-month ageing in barriques. It’s a greatly structured wine, which is very suitable for aging. Aging in fact softens the exuberant acidity typical of this wine when it’s young. It perfectly matches game and meat dishes.
