About the winery

Sociedade Agrícola Boas Quintas is a personal project of the oenologist Nuno Cancela de Abreu, launched in 1991 with the objective of producing estate-bottled wines from the reawakening ancient wine region of the Dão. Sociedade Agrícola Boas Quintas has its headquarters in the attractive town of Mortágua, where the small modern winery nestles next to the magnificent family house of the Cancela de Abreus. Below the latter are the cool, dimly-lit ageing cellars.

2005	Arnaud Steve      Portugal   I love this wine! Light fresh fruit, some flowers, not very concentrated but with good struture, freshness, elegant and long aftertaste, silky tanins, very involving, I could drink a bottle alone!
