En 1446, Jean et Nicolas Moët sont anoblis par le roi Charles VII. Un des descendants des frères Moët, Claude Moët, négociant en vin à Epernay depuis le début du 18e siècle, fonde en 1743 la Maison Moët. Son petit fils, Jean Rémy Moët, esprit pionnier et visionnaire, transformera cette société de négoce en la première marque de luxe internationale. Moët & Chandon élabore depuis 1743 les vins de champagne dont la qualité exprime toute la richesse et la diversité de son fabuleux vignoble. Possédant plus de 1000 hectares, Moët & Chandon est à la tête du plus gros vignoble de Champagne. Cependant, le raisin issu de ses vignes ne lui fournit que 15% de sa production. La maison achète donc du raisin à des propriétaires pour concevoir des vins à la personnalité séductrice et généreuse.

It reflects the diversity and complementarities of the three champagne grapes and the richness of the region’s best vineyards to reveal the magic of the world’s most loved champagne. Lively and generous Nectar Impérial distinguishes itself by its tropical fruitiness, its richness on the palate and its crisp finish that instantly surprise and delight. Nectar Impérial’s assemblage is built on the structure of Pinot Noir (40 to 50%), the flesh of Pinot Meunier (30 to 40%) and the freshness of Chardonnay (10 to 20%). The use of 20% to 30% of carefully selected reserve wines complete the assemblage and enhance its intensity, richness and consistency. Its yellow colour is sustained and nuanced with gold. Its aromas are generous and rich with tropical fruits (pineapple, mango) and stoned fruits (Mirabelle plum, apricot), capped by nuances of grain (malt) and sweet spices (cinnamon and vanilla). On the palate it is a succulent blend of richness and elegance, extreme creaminess and vibrant freshness (grapefruit).
