Villa Terlina étend ses 7 hectares sur le coteaux sud-est du village de Agliano Terme, au coeur du Piemont, région notamment rennommée pour ses grand vins.

Le soulevement géologique du miocène à créé un terroir très particulier. Les sols marneux-calcaires en surface reposent sur une couche de rocher de gypse cristalin.

Cette structure du terrain engendre une très bonne regulation hydrique et dans le même temps est la base de l’originalité des vins de Villa Terlina: structurés, minerals, élégants, avec une large palette aromatique et gustative.

L’encépagement est strictement autoctone: Barbera, Nebbiolo et Uvalino. Les vignes sont très vieilles avec une densité de plantation élevé.

La conduite est toujours raisonnée et éminemment écologique: on applique méthodes traditionnels et biodinamiques selon les nécessités des differentes parcelles.

Comme dans la cure du vignoble on refuse le formule toutes faites mais on recherche l’expression du terroir en adaptant la cuvaison et l’élevage selon le caractére du millèsime.

Les interventions humaines sont limitées au minimum et les vins sont mis en bouteille sans collage ni filtration.

About the winery

Villa Terlina, a 7-hectare estate in a single lot, is situated in the hilly area south-east of Agliano Terme, in the heart of Piedmont, a region famous for its great wines.

The geological upheaval of the Miocene Period has created a very special terroir, which is reflected in the characteristics of the wines. The marly-calcareous topsoil lies on a stratum of crystalline gypsum rock.

This land structure led to an excellent water balance and, at the same time, is the main reason for the uniqueness of Villa Terlina’s wines: well-structured, mineral, elegant and with a wide range of flavours and aromas.

The wines grown are exclusively autochthons: Barbera, Nebbiolo and Uvalino. The vineyards have a high density of planting and an average age of over 30 years.

The management is always logical and strictly ecological: traditional and biodynamic methods are used according to the needs of each single parcel.

As with the care taken in tending the vineyards, so we try to ensure that the wine mirrors the terroir, and vinification and refining are carried out to suit the nature of the harvest.

Humans interventions are reduced to the minimum, the wines are neither clarified nor filtered.

Villa Terlina si estende, con i suoi 7 ettari a corpo unico, nella zona collinare sud-est di Agliano Terme, nel cuore del Piemonte, regione famosa per i suoi grandi vini.

Il sollevamento geologico del Miocene ha creato un terroir molto particolare, che si riflette sulle caratteristiche dei vini. I suoli marnoso-calcarei in superficie riposano su uno strato di roccia gessosa cristallina.

Questa struttura del terreno genera un regolazione idrica ottimale e nello stesso tempo è alla base dell’originalità dei vini di Villa Terlina: strutturati, minerali, eleganti, con un’ampia gamma aromatica e gustativa.

I vitigni coltivati sono strettamente autoctoni: Barbera, Nebbiolo e Uvalino. I vigneti hanno una densità d’impianto elevata e un’età media superiore ai trent’anni.

La gestione è sempre ragionata ed eminentemente ecologica: vengono applicati metodi tradizionali e biodinamici secondo le esigenze delle singole parcelle.

Come per la cura del vigneto si ricerca l’espressione del terroir e si adattano vinificazione e affinamento al carattere della vendemmia.

Gli interventi umani sono ridotti al minimo, i vini non sono chiarificati né filtrati.
