Aromas of baked blueberries and grape bubble gum waft out of the glass like an evening fog. A touch of heat singes the nostrils but the fruit notes satisfy nonetheless. A food wine for sure, the tannins are present but have assimilated themselves to the point where they fade after a few seconds. The baked blueberry transforms into rhubarb and spiced raspberry and goes down smooth, with a touch of that heat on the finish. Drink over the next four-six years. Pair with a filet mignon with a light bearnaise sauce.
