About the winery
The Jean Leon winery was designed and built in 1964, in the Bordeaux Chateau style. It stands at the centre of the estate, at one of its highest points, and is surrounded by the company’s own vineyards.
The external appearance of the winery has undergone few changes, and it maintains the same classical presence it had almost 40 years ago.
However, from the time it was built, the inside of the Jean Leon winery has always been home to the latest technological advances for the production of wines of the highest expression.
The winery’s philosophy has always been oriented towards quality, elegance and limited production so that individualised control of all wines throughout the process can be ensured. This is why, despite the technical advances incorporated by the winery, many tasks are still performed in a manual and traditional way, thus guaranteeing the perfect monitoring of all processes.
Oenologist Jaume Rovira continues to oversee all wine production, contributing the knowledge accumulated over many years working on the estate and in the winery.
The Jean Leon winery boasts a fine team of staff with extensive experience. Especially worthy of mention is our pago team, which performs all tasks manually, allowing us to carefully select the grapes both in the vineyard and on the selection table at harvest time.
Sobre la bodega
La bodega Jean Leon fue concebida y construida en 1964, al estilo Chateau de Burdeos. Se alza en el punto medio del pago en uno de los puntos más elevados del mismo y está rodeada por viñedos propios.
El aspecto exterior de la bodega ha sufrido pocos cambios, manteniendo así la misma presencia clásica que ha tenido durante los últimos casi 40 años.
Sin embargo, y ya desde sus inicios, la bodega Jean Leon ha contado siempre en su interior con los últimos adelantos tecnológicos para la producción de vino de la más alta expresión.
La filosofía de la bodega ha estado siempre orientada hacia la calidad , la elegancia y hacia la producción limitada de forma que se pueda mantener un control personalizado de todos sus vinos durante todo el proceso. Es por ello que pese a los adelantos técnicos que incorpora la bodega, aún muchos de los trabajos son realizados de una forma absolutamente manual y tradicional, asegurando así un perfecto seguimiento de los trabajos.
El enólogo, Jaume Rovira, continúa al frente de la elaboración de los vinos en la bodega, aportando la sabiduría acumulada tras largos años de trabajo en el pago y en la bodega.
La bodega Jean Leon cuenta con un gran equipo humano con gran experiencia. A destacar especialmente nuestro equipo en el pago, el cual realiza todos los trabajos de forma manual y nos permite seleccionar cuidadosamente las uvas tanto en la viña como en la mesa de selección en época de vendimia.
