I really like this wine! I found it very complex with initial hints of vanilla and spice with dark fruit on the back then developing into a mouth full of flavor, cassis, blackberry and plum. The tannins are very mild and the finish is prolonged. With a hamburger this was superb, I cannot imagine it with steak. One word, I did not finish the bottle so I kept the other half for tonight’s supper. Perhaps it was the choice (chicken salad on baby greens) or perhaps the wine had not done as well in the bottle as I imagined, but it had an slightly off taste. Perhaps I tasted it too close to my vinaigrette?
