About the winery

Bishop’s Peak wines are handcrafted by Talley Vineyards from grapes grown in the Talley family’s vineyards as well as those purchased from growers who share the winery’s commitment to quality.

Farmers in the Arroyo Grande Valley since 1948, the Talley family chose Bishop’s Peak, an iconic local landmark, as the symbol for distinctive wines that reflect the diversity of the Central Coast region.  Bishop’s Peak wines are produced in small lots from vineyard sites that balance production and quality to deliver exceptional value.  The wines are made with the same attention to detail that is the hallmark of Talley Vineyards.

Bishop's Peak wines include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir, which are available in most markets where Talley Vineyards wines are sold.  Syrah, Pinot Gris, and a proprietary blend - Rock Solid Red are available in a limited number of markets, while the Petite Sirah is sold exclusively at the winery.

Consumer Reviews - Bishop's Peak Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

*** Good
Better with food than without
Tasty fruit forward Cabernet Sauvignon (86%) and Franc (14%) mix. There is a lot of blackberry and cassis, some oak and some vanilla. The tannins are pretty tame, and the finish is clean. There is a hint of tartness at the end that tends to degrade the overall finish, Still, a good buy overall and nice with a piece of meat, less attractive drunk alone.
