A treat at a local posh eatery. This wine was so good with the beef we ordered that it seemed a fluke. Dark and full of mineral and exotic cherry, mint, chocolate and perhaps some earth. The tannins were surprisingly smooth for this young of a Burgundy and the longer it sat the better it got. Great with a rare piece of beef (who knew!), good with some cold turkey and vegetables. Not something I could afford often, but as a special occasion – you bet!
