Consumer Reviews - Clos du Bois - Pinot Noir 2008

* Weak
Clos du Bois 2012 pinot noir is a tannic monster. Days after decanting the tannin still overwhelms the fruit. Unless something else which does not resolve with air is the problem. In either case, don't waste your money.

Professionals’ opinions
Red Wine by Clos du Bois from North Coast, California. This nuanced, elegant, deep ruby red Pinot delivers big on aromatics, kicking things off with layered aromas of dark cherry, lavender and earthy woodsy forest floor. On the palate it marries the variety's signature smooth tannins, silky texture and excellent balance with integrated flavors of red cherry, ripe plum and a slight hint of strawberry. Food Pairing: This smooth, velvety Pinot is a perfect match for roasted duck, grilled portobello mushrooms and savory risotto.
