| | Decent affordable Cotes du Rhone I wanted a bottle of red to wash down a Poulet a la crapaudine, sauce vinaigrette a l'echalotte. A decent looking bottle and label, nice metallic capsule and a nearly proper cork. Softly generic and typical of the region, perhaps a little too bland towards the end of the bottle - have you noticed how the top half is always different from the bottom, sometimes better, sometimes not? Perhaps it was simply not man enough for the strongly flavoured chicken. But at 3,46 euros (Marche Plus, Place Carnot, Carcassonne) one perhaps could not expect more.
