Ripe berry fruit flavours, good length with a spicy finish - aged in oak barrels for six months to add to its complexity and ready to drink now - from Arnaud de Raignac's winery who keeps his wines honest by sustainable methods and named after the historic fortified Benedictine Abbey of Saint Ferme.The wine is affectionately named 'The Evening Vines' as the blend comes from the vines planted farthest from the Abbey which receive the last light of day and are hence tended to later in the day and into the night.
For travelers Saint Ferme is a village of around 300 inhabitants located on the Dropt River in the Gironde. It's main attraction is the Abbey,a stopover for pilgrims on the route to Compostela.
