Since launching in winter 2001, BIRD in HAND has established itself as a premium Luxury Lifestyle brand. Internationally acclaimed wines sit alongside the BIRD in HAND fashion collection, both online and in store at our South Australian HQ. The BIRD in HAND Woodside property is transformed each year to host world class entertainment events and concerts attracting International artists. All BIRD in HAND products and experiences are the result of an uncompromising attention to detail.

In 1997 Andrew Nugent planted the seeds of the BIRD in HAND vineyard and olive grove across 100 acres of rich, fertile ground in the Adelaide Hills. The region was scattered with gold mines during the 1800's and the Nest Egg, Bird in Hand and Two in the Bush ranges proudly bear the names of these original mines.

BIRD in HAND enjoys local and international recognition from lovers of exceptional wine through to wine collectors and judges, including our most recent award for “World’s Best Shiraz” for Nest Egg Shiraz 2010. Each accolade is a reflection of the expertise, deliberation, and passion that go into creating each Bird in Hand wine.
