An exceptional and particularly aromatic wine. This wine will perfectly accompany seafood and grilled fish, and is also amazing with goat cheese. To be drunk within three years to keep its freshness. But it can also be kept, getting rounder and more balanced in the bottle. A fresh and slightly acid wine which strikingly shows the quality revival of the white wines from the Entre-deux-Mers.

Advised dishes

  • Shellfish and seafood : Crab, Mossels, Oysters, Whelks, winkles, clams, cockles
  • Fish : Grilled fish, Herring, Kipper (salted and smoked herring), Kippered Fish, Trout
  • Vegetables : Artichokes

Consumer Reviews - Château de Fontenille - Blanc 2009

Not expensive but tastes fantastic !
After a wonderful experience with the red Bordeaux of Fontenille, I wanted to try their white "Entre-deux-mers"...
I appreciate good wine but I have the feeling that good white wines are not that easy to find in California. Of course, you will find California and Italian whites everywhere but what about French whites? Good French whites are quite rare in California. What if you wanna surprise your guests or hosts with something a bit different?
This one is great and I love it so much that I even advised my sister to buy it for her wedding ceremony along with the red and the "clairet" of Fontenille, which she did. Many of the guests congratulated her on her choice of the wine.
It is not expensive but tastes fantastic... Just give it a try! #fresh #appetizer #outdoor #fish #cheese #pasta
