About the winery
We have 6 hectares of vines, all of which are under the Appellation Controlee "Morgon". Each hectare should produce in the region of 7,000 bottles each year, weather and hail depending.
We have two areas of vines on the sought after Cote du Py, which is a small volcanic outcrop where the crumbly granite soil produces some of the finest wines in the whole region. The Times recently described a Cote du Py as one of the best dozen red wines in the world for under £20.00 a bottle.
The Domaine buildings consist of the Chateau, a large farmhouse (currently only used for housing pickers at harvest time), an an extensive range of winery buildings and cellars.
The Chateau has undergone a major refurbishment with every wire, pipe and drain being replaced.
