: « Wine Advocate #188, April 2010 This property used to be owned by Stephan Asseo, a former St.-Emilion resident now living in Paso Robles and making the wines of L’Aventure. The 2009, a blend of 70% Merlot and the rest the two Cabernets, exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color and an elegant nose suggesting a confiture of red and black fruits, spice box, licorice, and a hint of mint. It is lush, rich in fruit, and a delicious wine to drink now and over the next 5-6 years. This wine, which is now made under consultation with Stephane Derenoncourt, clocks in at 14.7 % natural alcohol. (Tasted three times.) »
