| | Dark in color, smooth in feel with a nose of berries, brush and bacon. The tannins are mild and the acidity is just a touch too high but otherwise it is a well structured and delightful wine. Some floral notes come through in both flavor and aroma. I think I like Vieux Télégraphe better but I certainly would not pass up another Sabon.
Addendum – had my last remaining bottle of Sabon, this was the third. Interestingly both of the last two bottles seemed much better than the first. I would give each a 92 or 93 rating – proving that wine will fool you every time and it all depends on who you are drinking with and what you are eating. Reviewed 11 months ago |
