About the winery

Firstly of all, Nekeas is one of the northernmost vineyards on the peninsula. Cultivation of the grapes is only possible thanks to the presence of the Sierra Perdón, wich provides a mountainous barrier protecting the Nekeas Valley from the cold winds of the Pyrenees.

The valley is also caressed by the moderating influences of the Atlantic Ocean (only 70 Km away) and the Mediterranean, whose essence flows up the Ebro Valley. This climate would be difficult to find elsewhere on the Iberian peninsula.

Sobre la bodega

Fundada en 1992 por doce viticultores de la localidad para vinificar su propia uva que se encuentra en la zona de Valdizarbe. En la actualidad los soicios suman 232 hectáreas de viñedos propios: 40 hectáreas de Cabernet Sauvignon, 50 de Merlot, 15 de Garnacha, 70 de Tempranillo, 15 de Viura, 30 de Chardonnay y 12 de Garnacha Vieja. La capacidad total de la bodega es de 2.200.000 litros y cuenta con 2.500 barricas de roble francés y americano.

	vdevi      Spain   En nariz, empieza con manzana, platano maduro, pera, piña todo ello con destacada cremosidad y acompañada de tostados. En boca cremoso, acidez tambien presente que acaba en fruta.
