About the winery

Viña Valdivieso dates back to 1879 when Alberto Valdivieso founded Champagne Valdivieso, the first company in Chile and South America to make sparkling wine. More than a hundred years later in the late 1980s, the company expanded in a new direction when it began commercial production of still wines, as Viña Valdivieso, in our Curicó Valley winery in Lontué.

Valdivieso wines have since had a very successful career, triumphing in major world markets and achieving the highest honours in international competitions. These achievements are not an objective in themselves, but rather the result of the search for superior quality wines that are both distinctive and attractive.

Sobre la bodega

La historia de Viña Valdivieso se remonta a 1879, año en que Don Alberto Valdivieso fundó Champagne Valdivieso, la primera casa productora de champaña de Chile y Sudamérica. Más de cien años después, a fines de la década de 1980, se dio un nuevo impulso a la producción comercial de vinos finos como Viña Valdivieso en nuestra bodega de Lontué, Valle de Curicó.

Desde entonces, los vinos Valdivieso han tenido una muy exitosa carrera, triunfando en los más importantes mercados y obteniendo los más grandes premios alrededor del mundo. Sin embargo, estos logros no son un objetivo en si mismos, sino el resultado de la búsqueda de vinos de calidad superior con un sello distintivo y atractivo.
