Tintara winery represents the best of the past and the present. Pioneers of the McLaren Vale region back in 1861, today the winemakers at Tintara are able to draw on this heritage to make wines inspired by tradition but with all the innovation of today. Free to explore all McLaren Vale has to offer, Tintara is at the forefront of regional expression with new and traditional varieties.

Located in the main street of McLaren Vale, the heritage-listed, ironstone-walled cellars of Tintara have been home to our hand-tended winemaking for over 80 years. Gentle open fermentation and basket pressing methods inherited from the original Tintara Cellars of 1863 continue today. Combined with the best of modern-day techniques, Tintara remains true to the expression of McLaren Vale character.
