Deep young colour, concentrated plummy fruit on the palate, ripe tannins and a long finish with some oak ageing to add complexity.
This independent producer has 8 hectares in Puisseguin St. Emilion and another 35 hectares in the adjacent commune of Cote de Castillon. Many of the top producers in St. Emilion have started to buy land here. The terroir is identical to that of the adjacent St. Emilion vineyards but the land is much less expensive, and the wines correspondingly better value.
