Medium bodied merlot and cabernet blend, rich black cherry and plum fruit, supple and concentrated in the mouth with good length and a spicy finish. This is quality made wine from a family producer in the Dordogne that easily competes with their Bordeaux neighbours.
In 1977 the brothers and sister Dubard came to settle as winemakers on the hillsides that overlook the right bank of the river Dordogne. They gradually built a 83-ha wine estate controlling every step of the process : vinegrowing, harvesting, winemaking and bottling. They produce white, rose and red wines " Domaine du Gouvat " (AOC Bergerac) and " Chateau Laulerie" (AOC Montravel).
