| | Rich deep red colour, soft and round in the mouth with good concentrated fruit and a spicy finish.
This wine takes it's name from an area of the Vaucluse in the Drome. Comprised of four communes it was bought by the most important pope of Avignon, Jean XX11, in the fourteenth century. As his fragile health improved after drinking the wines from L'Enclaves des Papes, it became his favourite and he lived to the ripe old age of ninety.
