Ne pas tarder

Robe cerise noire intense avec quelques notes d'évolution oranger. Pour un vin qui a un peu plus de 7 ans, c'est logique !
Au nez, du cuir, des notes de sous-bois, un peu d'alcool au premier qui tend à s'effacer après agitation, quelques notes réglisse et surtout de la marmelade de cassis, mûres sauvages !
En bouche, on retrouve en attaque les fruits noirs, le cuir, l'humus du nez. Le palais est très soyeux, des tanins très souples et une finale légèrement alcooleuse qui partira aussi après quelques minutes dans le verre.

Si vous en avez encore en cave, un conseil : ne tardez pas trop car dans 2 ans, il sera trop tard selon moi ...

Robe grenat aux reflets violacés, brillants et profonds. Le premier nez affiche un bouquet complexe, frais et très bien dessiné. Les baies noires (mûre, cassis), pruneaux, figues grillées, et la réglisse donnent le ton.
En bouche, la souplesse prend le dessus avec une matière ample et fine. La structure est encore mieux dessinée qu'en 2003, et sa vivacité lui offre une superbe fraîcheur.
L'élégance prédomine l'ensemble avec une certaine pureté aromatique. On est admiratif (compte tenu du petit prix) de sa concentration et de sa richesse. Les saveurs de cassis, cerise, mûres, sont pures et appellent à une dégustation immédiate.
L'équilibre est fondu et harmonieux et se prolonge sur une longue finale, qui laisse dévoiler quelques notes cacaotées, vanillées et boisées.
Conservation : A boire sur 2 ans.
Service : Servir à 14°
Accords Vin - Mets : Plateau de charcuterie, grillades, tarte à la tomate et chorizo, côtes d'agneau, fromages.

Red Wine by Bodegas Castano from Spain. 100% Monastrell.Bodegas Castano has long been an advocate of the Monastrell varietal in the zone and its use has increased in other bodegas as a result. Known as Mourvedre in France and other parts of the world, the varietal is perhaps best known for its influence on the wines of Chateauneuf-du-Pape where the terroir and climate is not dissimilar to that of Yecla with both benefiting from a very warm, Mediterranean climate with warm days and nights. The 2004 Hecula is a single vineyard selection of 100% Monastrell, 50% tank aged and 50% aged in French oak. It is slightly less ebullient but more serious than its younger sibling. Exhibiting aromas of toasty black fruits with milk chocolate in the background, this is a super-rich effort with terrific depth and concentration for its humble price.
