About the winery

it was only with Antonio Argiolas, today 97 years old, that a new way of running the business began. A man of great enthusiasm and long experience in viticulture, he bought new estates, not only vineyards but also olive groves, with the aim to set up a new, modern farm. He succeeded.At the end of the 70's, Franco and Giuseppe Argiolas, the two sons of Antonio, made a courageous choice: by means of big investments, they effected gradual changes and involved the business in a stage of reorganization of all aspects, from the vineyards to technological innovation in the cellars. For their staff, they chose one of Italy's leading oenologists, Giacomo Tachis, who joined its forces with oenologist Mariano Murru.Now three generations of our family are present together: the patriarch Antonio, his two sons and his grandchildren.

Op ongeveer 20 kilometer ten noorden van Cagliari rond de plaatsen Serdiana, Senorbi en Selegas bevinden zich de wijngaarden van het Wijnhuis Antonio Argiolas. Het wijnhuis wordt geleid door Antonio zelf, een man die de tachtig inmiddels is gepasseerd. Hij wordt bijgestaan door zijn twee zoons. Door constante vernieuwing en investeringen in het eigen bedrijf worden hun wijnen beschouwd als de top van Sardinië. Antonio is momenteel een van de cult wijnmakers in Italië.

E' con Antonio che inizia la grande avventura nel mondo del vino.
Uomo di ingegno ed eclettico, impegnato nelle attività agricole,principalmente nella viticoltura e nella olivicoltura, nel commercio dei suoi prodotti, destina tutti i suoi guadagni all'acquisto di nuove fattorie con l'obbiettivo di creare un'efficiente e moderna azienda vitivinicola.Alla fine degli anni settanta, i figli Franco e Giuseppe fanno una scelta coraggiosa: con una serie di grossi investimenti economici e interventi graduali danno inizio ad una riqualificazione complessiva della filiera produttiva.Attualmente in azienda sono presenti e operano tre generazioni : il patriarca Antonio, i due figli e i nipoti.
