Sobre la bodega

Bodega Sierra Salinas, posee una totalidad de 80ha en las que
almendros, olivos y viña conviven en armonía en las laderas de la
Sierra Salinas a 700 metros sobre el nivel del mar, en Villena. La
bodega posee una capacidad de elaboración de 600 hectolitros. Su
filosofía de vinificación se basa en el respeto de la uva y el vino y
en base a estos dos criterios se ha centrado el diseño arquitectónico
de la bodega y las instalaciones.

In 2000, the Casta?o family acquired and re-organized some old vineyards located at the lowest part of Sierra Salinas, between the provinces of Murcia and Alicante and decided to have a winery built there. The winery is a state of the art, gravity flow facility on the mountains' foothills at about 650 meters above sea level. Only the grapes from the self owned 52 hectares of vineyard surrounding the winery are harvested following a strict selection and vinification process with a cool maceration previous to alcoholic fermentation and post fermentative maceration with skins and seeds. A blend of 25-year-old Monastrell and Garnacha Tintoreria and 15-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French oak barrels for 4 months.
