Stephen Tanzer "Deep ruby. Smoky blackberry and cassis liqueur aromas are complicated by coconutty oak, baking spices and cola. Plush, sweet dark berry and vanillin oak flavors stain the palate, picking up velvety tannins with air. Quite sweet, but a gentle minerality lends backbone. Impressive for its depth and power, but I wish that the strong oak was dialed back a notch or two." |
