| | I got this as a special of odds and ends so the price was about half what you would expect. This wine was dark and full from the time the cork came out. Actually it had an almost unpleasant aroma until it got some air and then it turned absolutely aromatic. It really reminds one of the big Australian Syrahs, dark and bold. The tannins are velvet, the taste almost too fruity or cloying. I would try this with a spicy piece of pork or lamb, but drinking it just to drink is a little overwhelming. Reviewed 2 years ago
