About the winery
After to have carry out study of viticulture at secondary school at Beaune, I settled on the family domain with my parents and brother in 1983. We went back a part of domain, when my parents took retirement.
I constituted the Thierry Mortet's domain in 1992 on 4 hectares. On the same time, I built a new fermenting room and a new wine cellar. Today, I cultivate 7 hectares, 10 differents appellations with 2 employers on full time and one person seasonal. The totale production composed of 35 000 bottles.
The vinyard slip on 4 villages: Gevrey-Chambertin (main activity), Chambolle-Musigny at 4 km at the south, Couchey at 4 km at the north, and Daix at the west of Dijon at 18 km at the north of Gevrey-Chambertin. (Source: www.domainethierrymortet.fr)
