from the cotes de franc.....Propably the youngest (created in 1967) and the smallest (less than 500 ha) of Bordeaux AOC’s, Côtes de Francs is a very pleasant vineyard situated only 15 km east of Saint Emilion. Its hills and valleys offer such a beautiful view that even some people call it Tuscany of Bordeaux. The vineyard is idealy oriented from east to west and constitued on gravely clay soil. In majority, we can find there Merlot, followed by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.
Generous and full of colours wine is distingueshed by harmony and feminity of tanins. Pleasant to drink when young, with elegant note of red fruits, have also good potential to age.
