Notre cave à commencé à produire dans les années 50 sous la direction de Giuseppe Damonte. Giuseppe était un rêveur qui aimait sa terre et, il avait compris que le Roero avait un grand potentiel. Aujourd’hui, ce sont les fils de Giuseppe qui sont à la direction de la cave MALVIRÀ: Massimo et Roberto, qui ont hérité, eux aussi, du même rêve et de la même passion qu’avait leur père auparavant
Avec le temps l’entreprise s’est agrandie et à conquis de nouveaux marchés, mais elle a tenu à rester une entreprise familiale; Massimo s’occupe des vignes et Roberto de la cave. Giacomo, le fils de Roberto et Patrizia, a terminé l’école œnologique d’Alba et commence à faire ses premiers pas dans l’entreprise familiale, pendant que les enfants de Massimo et Federica: Lucia, Francesco et Pietro fréquentent encore l’école.
L’enthousiasme, la passion et l’initiative sont les principales qualités des frères Damonte et de leurs collaborateurs; pour tous les membres de la «famille» Malvirà, faire du vin veut dire produire un vin capable de refléter toute la richesse du Roero sous sa forme la plus pure et la plus élégante.

Presentation of the winery
Our winery began its production in the 1950's under the guidance of Giuseppe Damonte. Giuseppe was a visionary, understanding that in the 50's, the Roero had not yet maximized its vineyard and thus grape-growing potential. Today the estate is run by Massimo and Roberto Damonte, Guiseppe’s sons, who inherited their father’s passion for winemaking.
Despite constant growth in production and exposure to new markets, the winery still is a family business. Malvira benefits directly from the involvement of Federica and Patrizia Damonte, the wives of Massimo and Roberto-Patrizia runs a 13 room luxury hotel and restaurant on the property.
Currently, the two brothers split the responsibilities, Massimo managing the vineyards and Roberto in the cellar. Giacomo, Roberto and Patrizia’s son, is also part of the family business. To date, he attends the enology school in Alba, with plans to continue the family business into the new generation.
Massimo's children are Lucia, Francesco and Pietro, and are currently attending elementary school. The family and staff members at Malvira are a passionate group, living off the collaborations and enthusiasm from each other. Above all, each member of the Malvira "family" has a primary idea to make wines that transcend the Roero area in its purest and most elegant form.

La nostra cantina inizia la sua produzione negli anni '50 sotto la guida di Giuseppe Damonte. Guseppe era un sognatore, amava la sua terra, e capì che il Roero aveva un grande potenziale. Oggi sono alla guida di Malvirà i figli di Giuseppe: Massimo e Roberto, che dal loro padre hanno ereditato lo stesso sogno e la stessa passione.
Nel tempo l'azienda è cresciuta e ha conquistato nuovi mercati, ma la sua conduzione rimane famigliare; Massimo si occupa dei vigneti e Roberto della cantina. Giacomo, figlio di Roberto e Patrizia, ha terminato la Scuola Enologica di Alba e muove i primi passi nell’azienda di famiglia; mentre i figli di Massimo e Federica: Lucia, Francesco e Pietro, frequentano ancora la scuola dell’obbligo.
Patrizia, la moglie di Roberto si occupa dell’agriturismo "Villa Tiboldi" nove eleganti camere nel cuore del vigneto Trinità.
Entusiasmo, passione, grinta sono le qualità dei fratelli Damonte e dei loro collaboratori; per ogni membro della "famiglia" Malvirà fare vino vuol dire produrre un vino che rifletta il "Roero" nella sua forma più pura ed elegante.
