Presentation by the winemaker: The Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Estate is the largest familyowned winery in Germany with 110 hectares in the best Mittelhaardt vineyards in the heart of the Pfalz wine region. The Estate was founded by Bernhard Bürklin and reached its current size under the ownership of Dr. Albert Bürklin in the 20th century. The vineyards are located in Wachenheim, Forst, Deidesheim and Ruppertsberg including the monopol sites "Wachenheimer Rechbächel" and "Gaisböhl" in Ruppertsberg.

  Weingut Dr. Bürklin-Wolf
  In 1875 trouwde Luise Wolf met Dr. Albert Bürklin, toen werd de basis gelegd van het grootste Duitse privé-wijngoed. Na verminderde kwaliteit in de jaren 80 (grotere produktie ten koste van kwaliteit), wil de huidige eigenares, Bettina Bürklin, de reputatie van het wijngoed herstellen. Er wordt organisch gewerkt en de druiven zijn afkomstig van bijna alle goede percelen van de Mittelhaardt. Het domein staat tegenwoordig bekend om zijn weelderige, droge Rieslings. (Vroeger bekend om zijn zoete wijnen.)
